→ overview | For several generations, a covert underground terrorist organization known as the “Azatoi†has been building steam within the shinobi world. Countless villages, large and small, are infected by the group, sects spread far and wide, working toward their ultimate goal: the upheaval of the Shinobi world as we know it. Their weapon of choice; children, orphaned at a young age—whether by Shinobi life as a whole or the Azatoi’s corrupt blades—are kidnapped and trained from a young age to become the ideal warrior.
Trained for years with the goal of creating the perfect killing machines, the child’s missing lives are then fabricated and documented, and through the corrupt insiders of the Azatoi organization are into normal Shinobi society as if they were never missing and transition into the lives of normal genin, the seal burned into their flesh the only mark of their unwitting treachery. The day will someday come when the Azatoi make their move, the very children the villages nurtured into adulthood and entrusted with their secrets becoming the tools to betray their comrades and take control of their villages in the name of their masters.
